Petco Foundation's 7th Annual Hope Gala 2015

I was invited by Petco Foundation to attend their 7th Annual Hope Gala and takeover their Instagram account. They asked me to take pictures of me enjoying the event. I wanted to look presentable so I went to Petco and was able to find a tux.

Leaving to go to the event.

The Hope Gala took place on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in Downtown San Diego. Every year Petco Foundation recognizes individuals who show their support in the animal community by improving animals lives.

The 2015 Hope Gala recipients are Katherine Heigl and Nancy Heigl, co-founders of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation. I really admire the work that Katherine Heigl and Nancy Heigl have done through their organization. They helped with the transportation and rescuing of animals and were able to save thousands of lives.

We arrived at the hotel at 5:30 pm and they were serving cocktails at the Seaport Foyer. It was open bar and you can get as much drinks as you want (just remember to tip the bartender). Waiters went around and served hours d'oeuvres to everyone.

The silent auction was also going on and I decided to check out the items up for auction. Some of the guests asked if I was going to be auctioned or if they can adopt me. Hmmmmm. My human will never give me away but I think I might be worth more than the autographed Maroon 5 Fender guitar. :)  What do you guys think?

Star Wars Dog Toy Basket. Can we please bid on this?
If my human gets a good photo of me maybe she will bid on the Star Wars Dog Basket.

I want this one too!!!
We were still checking out some of the items up for auction when we received a text message saying that we can come meet Katherine Heigl and Nancy Heigl for an exclusive meet and greet. Yay! We were thrilled because not everyone who attended the event will get to meet Katherine and Nancy Heigl. Thank you to Petco Foundation & Edelman for making this happen.

Is she an angel? :)

I'm glad the meet and greet went well and Katherine Heigl and Nancy Heigl seemed to like me. After taking a lot of pictures, we made our way to the Seaport Ballroom where dinner will be served. Guests have the option of getting beef or fish. My only option was the dog food/treats my human brought for me. :) Dan Cohen, morning anchor of San Diego CBS News 8 was the host for the evening. He started off with a champagne toast in honor of the 2015 Hope Awardees, Katherine and Nancy Heigl.

Fish: Sea Bass

Beef: Filet Mignon

I love fashion shows and those that starred in the show were doggies available for adoption at San Diego Humane Society. I wish I can save all of them but I can't. I just hope that they will all get adopted soon.

The Paul Jolly Award is given to an organization that has made an impact on making a difference for animals. The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is the recipient of the 2015 Paul Jolly Award. Thank you for rescuing a lot of animals.

Katherine and Nancy Heigl are longtime animal advocates and are co-founders of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation. Their organization is dedicated to help with the transportation and rescues of animals. They have successfully relocated over 6,000 dogs from high kill shelters in Los Angeles to no kill shelters around the country. Many dogs who were about to put down were rescued because of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation and they were able to help find them forever homes. The Petco Foundation is presenting them with a $100,000 grant to help continue their lifesaving work.

The live auction was next and items for auction were a Maroon 5 autographed Fender guitar, Petco Park suite experience, tickets to the Masters Golf Tournament and so many more items that I don't think I can bid and win with my milk bones.

We chatted with a couple of the guests and they asked if they can take a picture with me but I was getting so tired and about to pass out. I wanted to stay for dancing and the ticket drawing but I can barely keep my eyes open. We said good bye and decided to check out the desserts on our way out.

This chocolate bar is bigger than me.

I had a great time but it was way past my bedtime and I need to get my beauty sleep. I'm happy I was able to attend Petco Foundation's 7th Annual Hope Gala. I met a lot of people and I admire them for their work in rescuing animals. I had fun and it was an unforgettable event. Thank you Petco Foundation for a lovely and enjoyable evening!
